Delegation from the University of Stuttgart Visits Taiwan Tech

4/11/2017

                                                                                                                    (Office of International Affairs)
The University of Stuttgart is a university located in Stuttgart, the capital city of the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Founded in 1829, it is not only a famous national university but also enjoys a worldwide reputation in science and technology. It is one of the oldest universities of technology in Germany and a member of the TU9, the alliance of the top nine leading universities of technology in Germany. It is also one of the six German universities that belong to the Partnership of a European Group of Aeronautics and Space Universities ( PEGASUS), a member of the Top Industrial Managers for Europe (T.I.M.E.), and one of the ten German universities in the Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research (CESAER).

Since the official signing of a partnership agreement in 2010, Taiwan Tech and the University of Stuttgart have been developing a good relationship with a total number of 26 exchange students. On April 11th this year (2017), President of the University of Stuttgart Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Wolfram Ressel and Senior Advisor of International Affairs Dr. Wolfgang Holtkamp visited Taiwan Tech, where they were warmly welcomed by President Liao Ching-Jong, Vice President Heng Yong-Chie and Dean of the Office of International Affairs Wang Meng-Jiy. The guests visited the Taiwan Building Technology Center and Taiwan Tech Industry 4.0 Center, where briefings were given by Director of the Taiwan Building Technology Center Emma Huang and Assistant Professor Yang Chao-Lung of Taiwan Tech Industry 4.0. We hope that a closer partnership and more diversified cooperation between the universities can be implemented in the future.
